A birthday to remember: 100-year-old spends day in the slammer Do you have a bucket list? Many people have several experiences theyâd love to cross off before their time comes. As the years creep by, the urge to accomplish these goals grows stronger. One North Carolina woman knew this all too well, and for her 100th birthday celebration, she decided to cross a very specific item off her bucket list: going to jail. Police showed up to her assisted living facility with an arrest warrant for âindecent exposure,â handcuffed her and took her down to the station. During the process, she playfully resisted arrest by kicking the officers in the legs. After getting her mugshot taken and receiving an orange shirt, she was immediately set free to her family. Apparently, the whole thing was a birthday gag she planned with the local police, who now have one of the oldest prisoners in the world on the books. She shouldnât have given up the game. That way, stories would be told of her daring escape. Tap or click to see how the famous Alcatraz prison break unfolded. â |
