3 Million More Americans Began Exercising in 2019, New SFIA Report Says

In 2019, nearly every fitness category saw increased participation, according to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association's latest report. This includes exercise choreographed to music (7 percent increase), aquatic exercise (6.4 percent), yoga (6 percent), rowing machines (5.9 percent) and treadmills (5.7 percent).

21-Year-Old Midshipman Dies while Performing the US Navy's Running Test

The State of Maryland and the United States Naval Academy are investigating the cause of death of a 21-year-old midshipman who collapsed on Feb. 8 during the 1.5-mile run portion of the Navy's semi-annual physical readiness test.
