At our recent General Assembly in Krakow, UBIE set an ambitious goal: mobilising 1000 European mayors and local leaders to support basic income pilots by 2029. This vision marks a strategic shift in our approach, recognising that cities and municipalities can be powerful catalysts for social innovation. By building a network of committed local leaders, we aim to create the momentum needed for larger-scale implementation of basic income across Europe.
