Here, piggy-piggy: Hogs snarl traffic on Interstate When you’re stuck in traffic, what do you usually assume is the reason for the jam? Most people tend to assume it’s an accident, road work or perhaps even a police event. But for drivers in Virginia recently, the cause was far stranger: Pigs. According to news reports from Spotsylvania and Carolina counties, traffic was snarled for more than an hour due to four pigs wandering the road. All of the pigs made it out of the predicament safely, but it took some time for animal control to show up and help. And to make matters worse, none of the drivers present could help move them out of the road because each pig weighed around 400 pounds! This puts a new spin on “heavy traffic,” for sure.
