Happy weekend, everyone!

I hope you're not off to a vacation in D.C. or Cincinnati or someplace you thought would be cooler! They are getting a taste of Texas summer with some doozy heat indexes up into the danger zone. It will be pretty toasty here, too, so stay cool! Our weather peeps are teasing us with a low-90s forecast mid-week. Fingers crossed!

Which home blenders create great frozen concoctions?

Did you do the Prime thing? I put a few items in my cart, but the price never dropped. So... they're still in the cart. Still, Amazon managed to bust records with 175 million products sold. I see that some things, like that popular Instant Pot, are still discounted.

Don't tell the kids, but the aisles of glue sticks, No. 2s, and double-pocket, double-brad folders are baaaaaack! Teachers can also score some discounts. HEB is offering 15 percent off a lot of school supplies and things like tissues and disinfecting wipes - you know, classroom staples. Teachers need to sign up on HEB's website for the discount that's good beginning July 31. Oh yeah, Target's been offering teachers a 15 percent discount, too.
