Consider this your friendly reminder to turn your clocks back an hour before you go to bed Saturday night. Enjoy your extra hour! It’s also a great time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors. We’re getting into space heater and fireplace season, so a working smoke detector may just save a life. Fall back this weekend with end of daylight saving time And, heads up if you have an old iPhone as in an iPhone5. Apple warns that if you don’t update the software by Sunday, your phone may no longer work. Apple warns some iPhone users: Update your phone or lose internet This past week, we continued reporting on infant sleep products. After dozens of reported deaths linked to inclined sleepers, the Consumer Product Safety Commission is now proposing to ban the sale of them. The newly proposed rules also would require they meet the same standards as a bassinet. And, on a related note, Consumer Reports is warning about the dangers of in-bed sleep products. If you’re the parent of a newborn or parent-to-be, please educate yourself on the risks and what the American Academy Pediatrics recommends for safe sleep. Major safety issues found with in-bed infant sleepers You may have noticed a little bump at the pump. Well, good news, it looks like gas prices should be falling as we head into November.
