![]() On dating apps, you’re bound to come across the same types of profiles over and over again. There’s “torso guy,” “dog guy,” “add-me-on-instagram guy,” and — always a favorite — the “CEO at ‘self employed’.” Chances are, you’ll be covering the tab on that date.
Naturally, COVID has brought on some new dating app personalities you’ll want to watch out for. We’re looking at you, Kyle from Hinge, the country’s newest leading expert on infectious disease. “I don’t wear a mask because it causes CO2 poisoning” and “I’m young, I don’t need to get vaccinated,” are among his selling points.
On the opposite end of the spectrum is the “please commit identity fraud against me” type — the kind of dater who is so desperate for a date, they’re willing to post their vaccine card or a recent negative COVID test on Tinder, much to a scammer’s delight.
