Hey, Craig here to share a little “weekend business wisdom” with ya.
One of the most common questions I get asked is...
“What are the WORST mistakes you see most entrepreneurs making?”
I could (and should!) write a book about the answers.
But for now, I’ll just give you 13 of the worst offenders:
13 Worst Entrepreneur Mistakes
1. Not selling enough (rule of thumb: 80% of your time should be spent on sales & marketing until you hit $10M)
2. Not trying hard enough on hiring
3. Not firing fast enough
4. Not knowing your numbers
5. Not moving with enough urgency
6. Communicating poorly with your people
7. Not doing proper team or individual meetings
8. Not asking for help or taking advantage of your mentors
9. Spending too much time on the 10% and not enough on the 10X
10. Not doing enough to get out of your bubble and grow your network
11. Thinking you have to do everything yourself or else it won’t be good enough
12. Asking the wrong questions (for example, asking how to build an email list when most of your audience is on social media and you have no email marketing skills)
13. Not working on your #1 priority first thing in the morning
*****
I know. It’s quite the list.
Here’s where I suggest you start:
Stop trying to do everything.
Focus on what counts.
Figure out which mistakes you’re making and which are most critical for you to fix.
(HINT: I’d take a hard look at #1. But others may also be holding you back)
Then knock them out one-by-one by applying #13, and tackling them first thing in the morning.
Here’s how:
- Get up 15 minutes earlier than you do now.
- Go to work on your TOP priority in business (usually this will be sales & marketing)
- Do this 6 days a week, 50 weeks in a year, and that’s 72 hours of focused productivity (I’m not saying you have to work weekends — just a few minutes on Saturday mornings to move your life and business ahead)
Sure this takes a little discipline…
But it really is that simple.
What are YOU going to tackle first?
Success Loves Speed,
Craig
