Good afternoon,

Another day, another emotional tribute to a victim of the Manchester bombing.

Saffie Roussos from Leyland was the youngest, at the tender age of eight, to lose her life. As the inquiry progresses, reporter Stef Hall was there to hear her dad speak eloquently about their heartbreak and the little girl who had such a glowing future.

The Prime Minister Boris Johnson had a busy day yesterday explaining the new restrictions which apply not just here in Lancashire but from tomorrow, across the UK. We have been breaking it all down for you.

Also in Covid news, the 'silent spreaders' who may be circulating the virus.

Our live reporter Matthew Calderbank has been reporting on the shocking stabbing of a 16-year-old boy outside McDonalds's in Riversway, Preston last night.

Also in crime, knives, heroin, cocaine and cash have been seized during a crackdown by police in Chorley.

Don't forget to keep an eye on our live blog for all the latest news and don't forget the news is all bad - we actually report on more uplifting news than bad news. Today 13-year-old Sally's story will make you smile.

Have a great Wednesday,
