Beloved Maine children's singer Rick Charette and his Bubblegum Band played their 29th annual holiday concert at St. Joseph's College earlier this month. It was a sold-out show, standing room only. As always, the price of admission was a new, unwrapped toy for a child in need.

A Hampden pharmacist says Walgreens illegally fired him for refusing to fill a fentanyl prescription The pharmacist sued Walgreens in federal court earlier this month, claiming he was illegally fired from the Bucksport store for refusing to fill a prescription for fentanyl patches after he found out the Verona Island man who would receive them was facing drug charges. A Walgreens spokeswoman said the lawsuit "lacks merit."
