Now that free agency is over, positional rankings certainly need to be adjusted. Dave Richard provided his thoughts on the quarterback and wide receiver position, while Jamey Eisenberg offered his take on the running back and tight end landscape post free agency. |
|
No position had more turnover than running back and Jamey's running back rankings go a long way toward projecting the success of running backs playing in new cities. Jamey also goes into detail regarding a youth movement at tight end in his tight end rankings. |

Dave Richard declares Josh Allen the new King of the Hill at quarterback and understandably so. In a down year, Allen averaged 26.5 Fantasy points per game. Allen's ability as a true dual threat makes him a very unique player and there's no reason to believe he won't continue being productive through the air and on the ground. |

The Texans also added a running back in Joe Mixon who is a very good receiver out of the backfield. Targeting Mixon on flat routes will allow Stroud to maximize yardage against Cover 4 where the flats are usually open. Love also got help in the backfield with the addition of Josh Jacobs. His bruising running style will eventually bring extra defenders into the box, which means Love will have a ton of opportunities to take vertical shots off play-action. |

In his wide receiver rankings, Dave reveals CeeDee Lamb as the consensus top Fantasy wide receiver. Lamb averaged 28.5 PPR points per game and was targeted by Dak Prescott heavily in the last 11 games of the season. The game plan was designed to get Lamb the ball early and often. He even lined up at running back on occasion last season. If the Cowboys happen to land Xavier Worthy in the draft, his 4.21 speed in the 40-yard dash could give Lamb all the space he needs to operate freely in the short and intermediate game. I look forward to seeing what the Cowboys do to bolster their wide receiver corps in the 2024 NFL Draft. |

While there's a great deal of optimism surrounding Lamb, Dave implores Fantasy managers to exercise caution when it comes to Michael Pittman Jr., Stefon Diggs, Chris Olave , and Nico Collins. Pittman's target per route was much higher with Gardner Minshew than it was at any point with Anthony Richardson. Diggs' receptions per game were down last season. Olave may need to overcome quarterback play once again to be productive, while Collins finished the season with a 7.3 target per-game average. |

Jamey Eisenberg has Christian McCaffrey at the top of his running back rankings, but there are young players and new faces in new places trending up. Jahmyr Gibbs, Bijon Robinson, and De'Von Achane are young backs expected to build on their respective rookie campaigns, while third-year running back Breece Hall will benefit from running against lighter boxes with Aaron Rodgers back in the lineup. |
In terms of free agents, Saquon Barkley's stock is rising after signing with the Philadelphia Eagles. Joining the Eagles ensures Barkley will be running behind the most talented offensive line he's ever played with in his six-year career. Another notable signing is Gus Edwards by the Los Angeles Chargers. Chargers general manager Joe Hortiz stated that Edwards will be the team's "bell cow" running back, their "finisher," and "goal line guy." It appears Edwards could be in for a career year if Hortiz and Jim Harbaugh are on the same page. |

According to Jamey Eisenberg, Sam LaPorta is TE1, but that's not the consensus among our FFT team. Travis Kelce still has Travis Kelce in the top spot, and frankly, he could very well end up the most productive tight end out of the bunch. Kelce Tied T.J. Hockenson for No. 1 in PPR points per game in 2023 at 14.1. While last season was considered a down year for Kelce, he showed everyone what he's still capable of in the playoffs where he averaged 21.3 PPR points per game. If that type of production carries over into this season, he could easily finish the year as the No. 1 tight end. |
