One leg up: A fateful findingSkydiving is a thrilling hobby, but if you’re not 100% careful, you could end up dropping something as you leap from the plane. People have lost wallets, watches and jewelry because they forgot to leave them onboard. But what if the thing you lose is attached to your body most of the time? Well, that’s exactly what happened to Chris Marckres, who lost one of his irreplaceable prosthetic legs while skydiving. Prosthetic legs can be incredibly expensive, and the fact they’re custom-fit to each patient makes losing one quite costly. But thanks to some quick thinking, Chris took to social media and connected with a local soybean farmer who found the lost leg in one of his fields. Amazingly, the leg had zero damage aside from some light scratches. Incredible. Prosthetics continue to get more and more advanced each year. Tap or click here to see how one boy got the surprise of a lifetime when Tony Stark himself delivered his new prosthetic arm. → |
