Chip in $5 (or whatever you can give) to sustain the bold action needed to win the Net Neutrality fight. Friend, What’s the feeling that drives you to take action in the face of injustice? At Free Press Action we feel morally outraged by the Trump FCC’s decimation of communication rights — and it fuels our fight to restore the Net Neutrality protections. And thanks to millions of activists like you who call your members of Congress, take to the streets in protest, sign petitions and submit comments to the FCC, we also feel hope. Keep the momentum going — help us continue to bring fresh energy to the fight for internet freedom by donating $5 (or whatever you can give). With you by our side, here are 3 big things we’ve accomplished together in recent weeks in the fight to overturn the FCC’s Net Neutrality repeal — and pave the way for more just and equitable media: Ramped up the pressure on congressional reps to sign on to the Net Neutrality-restoring Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution. We challenged reps running for reelection in key districts across the country — and their opponents — to come clean on where they stand on the Net Neutrality CRA. We’re mobilizing people to call reps who have remained silent or come out against the CRA. With Election Day on the horizon, Net Neutrality foes are feeling the heat. Maintained public focus on Net Neutrality. With so many competing issues demanding people’s attention, we’re literally keeping Net Neutrality visible: Millions of people are seeing our bilingual billboards in south Texas, and we also published local newspaper ads in legislative districts that are critical to passing the Net Neutrality CRA. Fought for Net Neutrality at the U.S. Supreme Court.1 Last month, our legal team filed a Supreme Court brief in opposition to the phone-and-cable lobby’s latest efforts to undermine the legal foundation for Net Neutrality protections. This wrangling is in addition to our ongoing suit against the FCC for overturning the rules in December. We’re committed to fighting on every front no matter what the FCC and ISPs do in their efforts to lock down the internet. Right now, we’re both celebrating the fact that California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a strong pro-Net Neutrality law — and denouncing the Trump Department of Justice for immediately suing in federal court to stop the law from taking effect. Outrage and hope. Hope and outrage. We’ve got plenty of both to tackle the huge challenges ahead. But we can’t do it alone and we need you to keep tapping into whatever motivates you to stay in this fight with us. Because we refuse to take money from business, government or political parties, we also need to rely on your generosity to keep our work going strong. Please give $5 (or whatever you can) to sustain the fight for Net Neutrality. With thanks— Carrie, Collette and the rest of the Free Press Action team freepress.net P.S.
