I’ve been thinking a lot about the power of getting around the right ideas and people.
Just having the right influence and direction can be life changing.
I know from my own experience…
And I’ve seen it play out for other people hundreds, if not thousands, of times.
Perhaps one of my favorite examples though…
Was back in 2019, during a private workshop I hosted in London.
Two of my clients at the time, Rob and Bob, were both attending.
It was Rob’s third workshop, while Bob was pretty much brand new to my program and teachings.
As Rob described the results he’d been getting…
How much he accomplished each day…
And the profits he was pulling in…
Bob’s eyes opened wide as saucers and his jaw dropped to the floor.
Because Rob had once been just like Bob...
Working too much, wearing “all the hats”, and basically being trapped in his own business.
But over time, I was able to get Rob following a few key “success principles” that completely changed the game for him.
And today I want to share them with you…
1. You Must Slow Down to Move Faster
Rob actually spends very little time working IN his business.
Instead, he spends more of his time in BIG thinking…
Like all Empire Builders do.
On the other hand, Bob was like most entrepreneurs when they start out — juggling a full-time job and a side hustle where he did everything.
When Rob was in that position…
I helped him learn to Slow Down to Move Faster…
And now he’s truly a free man.
My friend Dan Sullivan, has found that in order for most entrepreneurs to 10X their revenue…
They must massively decrease their time doing the ‘busy work’.
Same goes for you.
You need less time working IN the business and more time away from your office.
You need more time thinking about what matters.
Get clear on your Values and Vision...
Because they drive every decision.
So slow down on your daily busy work...
… and free yourself up to focus on Empire Building.
2. You Gotta Think Bigger & Bolder
In order to think bigger and bolder you must say “NO” more often.
You can't save the world by destroying yourself.
If you want to do Great Things, you must do Fewer Things.
Ruthlessly eliminate the little things that hold you back from thinking with a clear mind.
Do you think Russell Brunson built Clickfunnels while running packages to the FedEx store, doing his laundry, or editing videos?
Of course not.
He did it, as he described on a podcast in 2016, by using my Perfect Day Formula to make more time for what matters most in his business…
BIG thinking and funnel building.
Time for you to do the same.
3. You Gotta Set Your Ego Aside
If you avoid having outside eyes on your business and your daily activities…
…you will slip into ineffective patterns that can destroy your profits.
You must adopt the mindset of “Kaizen” — which means always seeking improvement.
Continue to search for better, faster, easier, more profitable ways of doing things…
Ways to improve your product or service…
Ways to improve yourself.
Only then can you start doing more of what works and less of what doesn’t.
You must be willing to destroy your beliefs...
And cut ties with your rituals and routines whenever something better or more effective can replace them.
Here are a few questions you can apply to your business:
- Why are you currently getting the results you’re getting?
- What’s working?
- What’s not working?
- How can you improve what is working?
- How can you eliminate what’s not? Answering these questions is key to continuous growth.
Don’t skip them.

You will quickly unlock the type of success you’re truly capable of and deserve.
They will allow you to leverage the power of outside perspectives and other people’s experience…
And also help you to get out of your own way.
