Tragedy on the west bank: Three children died in a fire this morning on the west bank of Jefferson Parish. Details are still emerging, but authorities said the kids were all from the same family and suffered injuries when a fire swept through a two-story house in unincorporated Gretna. What nearly a million fish looks like: There was a jarring scene off the Gulf coast of southwest Louisiana one day last week – a mass of dead fish bobbing in the water near Holly Beach. Tristan Baurick has the story about how the rotting fish wound up there. Alphabet soup: Maybe you’ve noticed those cool tiles marking street names on some corners around New Orleans. Did you know they’re endangered? They are – and Doug MacCash writes today about a man who is particularly worried. Not that Tesla: Long before there was Tesla, the electric car brainchild of one of the world's richest people, there was Tesla, the rock band. Perhaps a fave of yours? Our music guy, Keith Spera, sure does like 'em. Tesla plays a show at the House of Blues Sunday night, part of week of live music in New Orleans. Earth Wind & Fire, anyone?
