The Formula for an Effective Super Bowl Ad? New Research Finds 2 Key Factors

I know, I know, we're all pretty much over the Super Bowl, but before I return to a normal sleep schedule, I wanted to share a few of my favorite tidbits you might have missed in Adweek's coverage these past 48 hours:

1. Is there a formula for an effective Super Bowl ad? A new research paper appearing soon in the Journal of Advertising says yes! So what is it? You'll have to go read my article, which is the only place you'll find the study's findings until its upcoming publication.

2. You might have seen that Audi Norway ad featuring Tormund from Game of Thrones, but that's actually just the tip of the Norwegian advertising iceberg when it comes to how the locals responded to GM's Super Bowl ad about Will Ferrell's vendetta against the Scandinavian country. Check out four of our favorite response campaigns here.

3. There sure were a lot of ads made in-house for this year's Super Bowl. Check out which ones and learn why the trend was so prominent this year.

And if you missed it, be sure to check out my ranking of the 10 Best Ads of the Super Bowl and then come find me at @Griner on Twitter and tell me how wrong I was!
