Foodwise Talk: Reimagining San Francisco Green Spaces

Join Foodwise, Reimagining San Francisco, Florence Fang Community Farm, The Cultural Conservancy, and Gardens of Golden Gate Park at the California Academy of Sciences on Tuesday, August 6, to discuss increasing our city’s climate-wise, biodiverse, and equitable green space.

On Saturday, August 17, celebrate Black Business Month with a day of crafts and community at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, featuring 10 Black Bay Area crafters. Entry is free, with products available for purchase.

Due to their high elevation, Rainbow Orchards’ blueberry season runs later than other farms. Visit them at the Ferry Plaza on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for berries and apple cider.

Founder Tia Simone shares her love of San Francisco and New Orleans cuisine through artfully crafted Creole- and Cajun-inspired dishes on Thursdays.

Mission Community Market: Featured Vendors

Between their two locations in Pescadero and San Gregorio, Blue House grows over 50 types of organic crops. Stop by their stand for tomatoes, peppers, and other summer veggies.

At Roti's stand in the Mission on Thursdays and at the Ferry Plaza on Saturdays, you’ll find naans, chutneys, curries, pickles, daals, and other Pakistani favorites.
