Gaze out from the summit of the Acropolis, step into the ring where Olympians competed or climb steps carved out of stone to monasteries perched on top of towering cliffs. Greece has so many fab cultural pursuits and a calendar bursting with festivals, holidays and exhibits.
Balmy days under expansive skies and island-dotted seas with dreamy white-sand beaches and palm-fringed shorelines. Wander along cobbled Byzantine footpaths, hike into volcanoes, swim with dolphins, cycle through lush forests or simply hop on a boat and set sail into the great blue beyond.
Oh, and then there's the food! Enough feta and olive oil to feel like a local. Regional produce and ancient recipes blend with modern cooking styles to make travelling here a culinary adventure. You'll have a plate-smashing time. Although, we'd recommend checking with the plate owner before intentionally breaking anything!
