It’s all about deciding if the company should invest more time in someone during hiring, which means it’s a different type of conversation — with different needs and goals — than interviews that happen with people directly involved with the role. Deal With It Lots of people now love working from home, but a significant number of folks really want to return to their offices whenever it’s deemed safe. According to a Gallup survey, 39% of workers said in January they would return to their office if given the choice, up from 28% last July. These people do see value in working in a place that is separate from their homes, and below, some of them share why.
Pro Tip:  Most software updates aren’t that exciting, but there’s a thrilling change in Apple’s new iOS 14.5: Your iPhone will actually ask permission before allowing apps to track your behavior and share that data with third parties. “This new feature is a significant step for user privacy, as it gives people more control over their mobile phone app data and how it’s used by companies, like Facebook and Google, to target ads,” Recode reports. Called App Tracking Transparency, the new program will be automatically added when you install the operating system update.
