Small business helpQ: I can't handle another day working on my old computer. It's hot, it's slow and it isn't powerful enough to handle everything I do for work. Any suggestions? A: If you're not a total tech geek, figuring out what to spend your money on is seriously stressful. I could tell you a few models to check out (we use Dell Optiplex and Precision at Komando HQ), but really, you need help finding the right models for you and your business. Dell Technologies Advisors can guide you. They have financing options, too, and can help you get everything set up correctly. Call 877-ASK-DELL or visit Dell.com to find technology that can help your small business. |
Help me choose a printerQ: I need a new printer. We have a small business so I also make, I would say, a medium amount of copies for that. I want to print great pics for framing and business copies without always troubleshooting and buying ink. I have stopped making copies and send what I need printed to my husband's office. A: I feel your pain! I've had my share of bad printers. Good ones, too! My favorite is the Epson EcoTank. You don't have to ration out your printing because this one has easy-to-fill tanks instead of expensive cartridges. Love that. I've never had a problem with mine, and I have one at home and work. I even bought my son, Ian, one. All the models copy and scan, too. Add the Epson EcoTank to your online shopping list at Amazon, Dell, MicroCenter or epsonecotank.com/kim. |
Fed up with QuickBooksQ: Is there ANYTHING I can use besides QuickBooks for my financials? The more I use QB, the more disgusted I become! HELP! A: Sounds like you're drowning in spreadsheets. Don’t let QuickBooks slow you down, and stop paying for multiple systems that don’t give you the information you need when you need it. It’s time to upgrade to NetSuite by Oracle, the world’s No. 1 cloud business system. NetSuite gives you visibility and control over your financials, HR, inventory, e-commerce and more — all in one place — instantaneously. Want to check it out? Let NetSuite show you how they’ll benefit your business with a free product tour at NetSuite.com/Kim. |

You're giving away all your data for that free email accountI don’t trust Big Tech and you shouldn’t, either. You’ve heard me say for years that free email services like Gmail or Yahoo aren’t really free. There’s a big price to pay — your privacy. These free email sites scan, analyze and save details of every email you send and receive, giving Big Tech a very intimate and detailed profile of you so they can easily sell your data to the highest bidder. That’s why I use StartMail. With StartMail, I can send encrypted emails with one click, even if the recipient doesn’t use encryption. And StartMail never scans or analyzes your emails. Best of all, when you delete an email, it’s gone — forever. Don’t trust Big Tech with your data and privacy. Go to StartMail.com/Kim today for a seven-day free trial and 50% off your first year. → |
