Earlier today, in a significant escalation, Hezbollah launched a barrage of 60 rockets toward the Golan Heights, marking a departure from its usual focus and retaliating for recent Israeli strikes deep into Lebanon. This attack targeted an IDF base in the Golan, a response to the IDF's operation that neutralized a Hezbollah commander known for orchestrating attacks against both civilian and military targets in Israel's north. Amidst these tensions, the Israeli military has also confirmed the loss of brave souls in the Gaza Strip. We mourn the loss of Sgt. Oz Daniel, a 19-year-old IDF soldier who tragically died in Gaza captivity, along with Staff-Sgt. Narya Belete, 21, of the Givati reconnaissance unit, and Staff-Sgt. Eli Zrihen, 20, also of the Givati unit, both of whom fell in southern Gaza. Major Eyal Shuminov, a 24-year-old company commander in the Shaked Battalion of the Givati Brigade, was also announced deceased. These developments underscore the volatile and unpredictable nature of the conflict, highlighting the critical need for Zaka's intervention. Our volunteers are providing immediate medical assistance, support the civilians, and ensuring the dignified care of the fallen. In these moments of crisis, the importance of our mission is ever more apparent. |
