Stat of the Day 1.7%:Share of Americans that didn’t work in a given survey week because of vacation in December 2022. That’s down from 3.3% in 1980 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. People are taking more three- and four-day weekends but there’s been a “sharp drop in luxurious, week-plus vacations,” according to The Washington Post.
