This weekend I’m heading to Florida with Michelle, my fiancé, and Daisy, our dog. We are hosting an in-person 1-Day Mastermind on Saturday, March 13th in Miami... Then we are driving over to Tampa to see some clients – including the legendary Joel Marion... a former schoolteacher turned 9-figure business owner. On April 1st we’ll be flying across America, stopping in Denver to meet with Early To Rise team members… Vegas (to be interviewed on Brad Lea’s Dropping Bombs podcast)... And California to film new episodes of the Empire Podcast show with the one-and-only Bedros Keuilian. Michelle and I have a double date planned with Bedros and his wife before we head back to Florida to pick up Daisy from her doggy day care in Tampa... Then we drive back to Miami again for a visit with Mark Ford, founder of Early To Rise, and another Mastermind event. When we return to Canada we’ll have to spend three days under mandatory hotel quarantine (aka “Justin Trudeau’s Hotel Jail”)... ...and eventually we’ll get back to Vancouver by June 1st. But Craig, why go through all that hassle? One of the main reasons we’re traveling is because we want to grow our networks... Because there’s a Universal Law which I know to be true… The more people you know in life the EASIER everything gets. Let me repeat that because it might be the most important lesson you hear all week: When you know more people... And more importantly, when you become valuable to more people... It becomes easier for you to get what exactly you want in life... You attract more opportunities, and you meet more people that can solve your problems. Which is EXACTLY why I always say... your network equals your net worth. And in my opinion, growing your network is the fastest way to start making more money. So, if your networking needs an upgrade — start with these... Seven Questions To Snowball Your Network First, think about other people – not you... Ask these questions to figure out how to be more valuable to others: 1. What unique advice can I share with people? 2. What group of people would benefit from this advice? 3. How can I best deliver this advice so that it has the greatest impact? For example, I have unique, contrarian, valuable advice on how to be more productive... how to be a better leader... how to use social media to grow a business... how to sell... and so on... I’ve put this in my books (that we give away for free)... I speak to groups on-stage and on-zoom (and now on Clubhouse)... I make video after video online for my YouTube account, LinkedIn profile, FB groups, and Instagram page. And I do all of this in a (fairly) entertaining way. For example, Watch my latest video on “how to go to bed at 8pm” (BTW, for some strange reason it made a LOT of people very angry, lol… make sure to read some of the odd comments.) Anyways... All of this output brings amazing inputs. Killer contrarian content attracts people to me because I’ve become a person of value… ... and my network “snowballs” so it becomes easier to attract more and more connections with every person I help and each content piece I make. For example, Brad Lea has a very successful podcast... and he reached out to me – out of the blue – to have me on his show. Others get my books and invite me to speak to their groups... and others still hire me for coaching. That’s how this virtuous cycle works. Now, only after you’ve established how you can start your network snowball rolling... Is it time to think about YOU. At that point you can ask these four questions: 4. Who do I want to know? 5. Who do I already know that I want to know better? 6. Who knows these people well enough to introduce me to them? 7. How can I make it easy for connected people to introduce me to other connected people? And that brings us back full circle to the value you can add to others... Your networking ability all starts there. And when you figure out how to add more value to more people, so that you can build a massive network… You’ll never lack anything in life.
