The National Weather Service has issued a HEAT ADVISORY starting at Noon Thursday and extending until 8 p.m. for feels like temperatures up to 108. While storms will be isolated in nature this afternoon and evening, any that do develop have the potential of being strong with high winds and locally heavy rain. TONIGHT: Partly Cloudy Lows: 75-80 Winds: South 5 mph It will be a warm and very humid night with temperatures in the 70s. Expect areas of patchy fog to develop across parts of the region. FRIDAY: HEAT ALERT Partly Cloudy Scattered Storms Highs: 94-97 Feels Like: 100-108 Winds: Southwest 5-10 mph We'll round out the week with heat index values, once again, over 105 degrees, so First Alert Weather is on a Heat Alert. Scattered showers and storms are likely during the afternoon and evening hours. Some of the storms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and locally heavy rain. SATURDAY: Partly Sunny Scattered Showers, Storms Highs: 90-95 Feels Like: 100-105 Winds: South 5-10 mph Saturday will be the hotter weekend day with highs in the low 90s. Feels-like temperatures will be over 100 degrees with the humidity. Rain and storms are likely during the afternoon and evening hours, so keep a watchful eye to the sky during your outdoor plans. Any storms that develop will have the potential to become severe. SUNDAY: Partly Sunny Storm Chances Highs: Around 90 Winds: West 5-10 mph An approaching cold front will trigger additional chances for showers and storms during the afternoon and evening hours. High temperatures will be around 90 degrees with heat index values around 95 degrees. A drop in humidity is expected early next week.
