SATURDAY: COLD ALERT Sunny to Partly Cloudy, Windy Highs: 35-40 Winds: Northwest 10-20, Gusts to 30 mph Bundle up for all of your outdoor plans with very cold and blustery conditions expected. Wind chills will be in the 20s throughout the day with the highest wind gusts through the morning and afternoon hours. Saturday is also the winter solstice, or the first day of winter. The solstice occurs at 4:21 a.m. marking the time with the northern hemisphere is tilted farthest away from the sun all year. This gives us our shortest amount of daylight hours all year.
SUNDAY: COLD ALERT Sunny and Cold Highs: 30-35 Winds: North 10-15 mph The first full day of winter will likely be one of the coldest since the turn of the century. Highs will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s with wind chills in the teens and 20s. Make sure your are properly bundled for all of your outdoor plans, including sitting outside for the Commanders and Ravens games.
