MONDAY, JULY 14, 2025 FLOOD WATCH FROM 2PM UNTIL MIDNIGHT TODAY: STORM ALERT Partly Sunny Chance PM Storms Highs: 83-89 Winds: South 5-10 mph It will continue to feel very tropical across the DMV with high humidity. Dry weather is expected throughout the morning with rain and storm chances returning this afternoon and evening. Similar to the past several days, pockets of heavy rain could set up and produce rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour, which is why a Flood Watch is in effect from 2 p.m. until midnight. This could lead to scattered instances of flash flooding where the heavy rain persist the longest. In addition to flooding, damaging wind gusts and frequent lightning are possible in storms that develop, so have a way to get weather alerts. The Storm Prediction Center has the DMV in the Level 1 of 5 risk category for severe storms. TONIGHT: Rain, Storms Ending Mostly Cloudy Lows: 70-76 Winds: South 5 mph Wet weather will wane by midnight with mild and muggy conditions expected overnight. It will be warm and muggy with areas of patchy fog possible by dawn.
TUESDAY: Partly Sunny Chance PM Storms Highs: 85-89 Winds: South 5-10 mph Another hot and humid day is ahead with the chance for showers and storms during the afternoon and evening. Rain and storm chances are lower compared to Monday. Any thunderstorms that develop could contain heavy rainfall that could lead to isolated flooding.
