TODAY: Lingering Early AM Shower Mostly Cloudy, Not Nearly as Hot Highs: 78-88 Winds: East 5-10 mph Today is expected to bring a brief respite from the stifling heat and humidity. An easterly wind will bring added clouds and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. It will remain very humid, so feels-like temperatures will still be in the mid-80s. After a damp start, the metro should expect a mainly dry day. However, scattered showers and storms are expected far south and west of I-66 and west of I-95. TONIGHT: Mostly Cloudy, Muggy Few T-Showers Possible Lows: 68-74 Winds: Light Easterly Clouds linger into the evening as easterly winds persist. Any storms that develop in the mountains may propagate eastward, so a few showers or storms are possible. Skies will clear out late toward dawn. SATURDAY: Partly to Mostly Sunny Pop-Up Afternoon Storms High: near 90 Winds: Southwest 5-10 mph Not a washout, however, shower and storm chances continue Saturday with highs near 90 degrees. SUNDAY: Partly Cloudy, Isolated Storms Highs: near 90 Winds: Northwest 5-10 mph Plan for very warm temperatures to round out the weekend with highs just around 90 degrees. Although somewhat limited, shower and storm chances remain. Download the First Alert Weather app to stay up to date with the latest forecast. |
