High temperatures will top out seasonably warm in the mid to upper 70s. Clouds will thicken this afternoon with showers developing over the mountains. Shower chances increase in the DMV this evening, so have the umbrella if you'll be out tonight. TONIGHT: Areas of Rain Lows: 63-69 Winds: Southeast 5-10 mph Scattered showers will overspread radar overnight, so plan for wet conditions during the overnight hours. It will be mild and very humid. TUESDAY: FLOOD ALERT Rain and Thunder Highs: 69-75 Winds: Southeast 10-15, Gusts 25 mph Plan for a very wet day with rain likely. It will be overcast and very humid with a breezy southeast wind. Rain may be moderate to heavy at times that could cause ponding on area roads. The Weather Prediction Center has the DMV in the Marginal risk category for flooding. Higher probabilities of flooding are expected over parts of the Shenandoah Valley where Flood Watches are in effect.
