Today will likely be the nicest weather day of the week, so try to take advantage of the dry conditions, low humidity, and sunshine while they are here. High temperatures will top out seasonably warm in the mid to upper 70s.  Clouds will thicken this afternoon with showers developing over the mountains. Shower chances increase in the DMV this evening, so have the umbrella if you'll be out tonight.

TUESDAY: FLOOD ALERT

Winds: Southeast 10-15, Gusts 25 mph
Plan for a very wet day with rain likely. It will be overcast and very humid with a breezy southeast wind. Rain may be moderate to heavy at times that could cause ponding on area roads. The Weather Prediction Center has the DMV in the Marginal risk category for flooding. Higher probabilities of flooding are expected over parts of the Shenandoah Valley where Flood Watches are in effect.

Another very humid day is ahead with morning clouds giving way to a little afternoon sunshine. Scattered showers and storms will develop during the afternoon and evening hours. Any storms that develop could contain heavy rain that could lead to isolated flooding.
