THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2024 TODAY: Clouds to Sun Isolated Shower Chance Highs: Around 80 Winds: North 5-10 mph Morning clouds will give way to brighter skies this afternoon, as the area of low pressure that has brought us unsettled weather the past few days moves farther out to sea. An isolated shower is possible this morning, but nothing widespread or heavy is expected. Afternoon highs will warm to around 80 degrees with decreasing clouds. TONIGHT: Clear to Partly Cloudy Lows: 58-64 Winds: North 5 mph With clear skies and light winds, overnight lows will be cooler than the past few nights - in the upper 50s in our western suburbs and low to mid 60s expected closer to the city. FRIDAY: Mostly Sunny Highs: 80-85 Winds: Northeast 5-10 mph We'll round out the week with dry and seasonable conditions. High temperatures will reach the low 80s with a mix of sun and clouds. SATURDAY: Morning Sun, Afternoon Clouds Highs: Low 80s Winds: Northeast 5-10 mph It will be a cool morning with wake-up temperatures in the upper 50s west of I-95 to low to mid 60s in D.C. and areas east. A weak weather maker will approach from the west and will bring an increase in clouds during the second half of the day. SUNDAY: Mostly Cloudy Highs: Mid 70s Winds: East 5-10 mph Sunday marks the start of fall and it will feel more like it will cooler air settling in.
