| Wintry and not-freezing outdoor dining spots | Looking to share a meal with someone not from your household? As any good rule enthusiast knows, that will require outdoor dining. ‘But,’ you stutter, ‘it’s cold outside!’ Right you are. Which is why we’ve put together a list of cosy, Christmassy winter terraces, each one equipped with enough heaters and fire pits to thaw even the bluest extremities. |

Big exhibitions you absolutely, definitely have to see | |

Tracey Emin / Edvard Munch | It’s good old Trace doing her big, overwrought, emotional paintings, but paired with the guy who basically invented big, overwrought, emotional paintings (he did do ‘The Scream’ after all). This Royal Academy show isn’t fun, not a whole lot of laughs, but damn, it’s good art. |

Lynette Yiadom-Boakye | It’s room after room of gorgeous, dark and totally mesmerising portraits by this English artist, finally getting her first major institutional UK show, at Tate Britain. It’s all super mysterious and lacking in answers, but that’s what makes it so stunning. |

Titian and Artemisia | Two absolutely amazing exhibitions at the National Gallery, at the same time? We’re being spoilt by the proverbial ambassador here. The five Titians are some of the most important paintings ever, and the exhibition of Artemisia Gentileschi’s paintings is an actual, I’m-being-serious, can’t-miss. |

Our Christmas issue has landed, rejoice! | | In less than one month’s time, 2020 shall be consigned to the dustbin of history and we shall never think or speak of it again. Before that however, we have Christmas. This year, London needs the festive season like a desert needs the rain. Do not for a single solitary second consider missing out on all the Christmas fun the capital has to offer. Cheap, free, spenny, delicious, funny, magical, weird, we’ve packed it all into this issue. Pick it up from all those lovely usual places. |
