Besides just being functional, afghans serve some other purposes that are just as important. They can be a reminder of the person who inspired or made them for us, like a constant hug no matter how much time passes. (I know I still have the classic crochet ripple afghan my great grandma made me as a baby!) They also add a touch of warmth and personality to a room. |
