March jobs report reflects widespread growth and economic recovery The U.S. economy added 916,000 jobs in March, and the unemployment rate edged down to 6.0%. Widespread job growth was led by gains in leisure and hospitality, public and private education, and construction. |

 | Enforcement delayed Our Office of Labor-Management Standards will delay enforcement of its March 2020 final rule on Form T-1 Trust Annual Report filing pending a proposal to rescind the rule. | |
 | Restitution for fired seaman A petroleum carrier and three former and current management officials paid $375,000 to a seaman who was allegedly fired for reporting safety concerns and cooperating in the investigation of a barge explosion that killed his brother. | |
Leisure and hospitality gains The industry most impacted by the pandemic is leisure and hospitality, which accounts for about 37% of jobs lost. But the March jobs report showed it gained 280,000 jobs a step in the right direction. |
