Unlike some flashier Gis, it's not all bark and no bite with this one, as the Strasse features several unique and functional innovations. Inside the sleeve cuffs, you'll find angular ripstop reinforcements, adding comfort at the elbow as well as creating a layer of thickness so it's tougher for opponents to hold grips along the forearm and wrist.Hidden along the jacket's interior is a debossed synthetic leather logo (machine-washable), designed in the style of classic blue jeans branding.New York's 93brand has replaced their typically embroidered logos with frayed denim appliques. Designed to fray at the edges as your Gi is worn (like worn jeans).The rear jacket applique and subtle knee logos are stylized after the iconic 'pocket' shape of classic blue jeans.Built primarily from a formidable 450 GSM Pearl Weave, accompanied by a thicker and wider collar. The heavy-duty collar is made from a stonewashed denim that's intended to fade the more you wash it. This material is also used for the pant loops, jacket vents, and interior/exterior taping. NOTE: The male model is wearing a Gi that was washed hot and machine dried 8 times. Female model's Gi was cold washed and hang dried. Depending on how you want your Gi to break in, follow this method (the more hot water and machine drying, the more the stonewashed portions will fade). The soft pants feature elongated knee reinforcements, so no matter how tall you are, your knees are covered. The waistband features multiple loops, including two extra-wide loops, and a thick stretch drawstring. All interior seams are taped for durability. |
