Legalization weekend

As Rod Lee programmed into this popular Baltimore Club Mix, Let's Get High, my friends! Happy belated Baltimore Club Music Day, by the way.

In just a few days, the aroma of legal weed will fill the air, and we can all join the Mary Jane celebration. Starting July 1, Maryland will embrace the green goodness, allowing you to bring your love for cannabis out of the shadows and into the light (within some constraints). It's a momentous occasion, and as an ally to my cannabis-using friends, I couldn't be happier for you.

Imagine the scene: Stoners from all corners of Baltimore rejoicing as our beloved city becomes the 20th most chill place in the nation, right alongside DC. And guess what? Possessing up to 2.5 ounces of marijuana will no longer land you in handcuffs. Instead, you'll face a civil penalty of $250. It's like a weight lifted off our shoulders (and our pockets!).

A new era of Maryland highness is upon us. Could this mean a new era of cannabis tech and related businesses popping up around the state? If you have any thoughts or intel, please feel free to share with baltimore@technical.ly. Thanks, and may the good vibes be with you!
