November 7, 2020 The week is over, the ballot counting continues, we still don't know who our next president will be, and now — we wait. For anyone who forgot, this election has been a stark reminder of just how deeply divided we are as a country.
But we've also seen a phenomenal effort by tireless poll workers who are still working overtime to ensure each vote gets counted (even when the current president rails against them, calls mail-in ballots illegal, and calls for the counting to stop). We've seen record voting turnout from young Black Americans, especially Black women, proving once again that the most marginalized people remain America's backbone and the fiercest fighters for a better future.
Whether or not we agree with one another, we're all stuck in this holding pattern together. While you stay tuned to every new batch of ballots coming from a battleground state, feel free to revisit some of the articles our readers loved most from this election week.
