Cold case body ID: Advancements in DNA technology, coupled with some dogged police work, has cracked at least part of a decades-old cold case in St. Tammany Parish. Authorities now have a positive ID on a woman’s body found in a marsh nearly 40 years ago. Still a mystery is how she died, Sara Pagones reports. Jefferson Parish school zones: When the school board in Jefferson Parish adopted a dramatic school reorganization plan earlier this month, it was a given that a number of students would be going to new schools next year. The school district recently unveiled its proposed attendance zones, and the board will discuss them during a special meeting next week, Marie Fazio reports. More tax questions: More questions are being raised about the proposed tax hike for the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office.
