NFL will now lead Washington Football Team probe

National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league will take over the investigation of the sexual harassment allegations at the Washington Football Team. The decision comes after a letter sent by the attorneys representing some of the former team employees urged the league to conduct an independent investigation and suspend team owner Dan Snyder until the outcome is determined.

Median weekly US earnings rose by more than 10% in the second quarter despite the unemployment rate reaching its highest level for several decades at 14.7% during April, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco President Mary Daly contends in a new study she co-wrote. The increase does not point to rising salary levels, however, but to increased joblessness among lower-paid workers compared with higher earners.
