Videos that'll make you cackle (and cringe) over your coffee Looking for something to giggle at during elevenses? We're a dab hand at dredging up videos that are as mirth-inducing as they are bizarre. Exhibit A: the bonkers mini-musical starring Tom Jones in which he catches a London bus... to Arizona. It Is Unusual. While we're on buses, allow us to whisk you back to that golden era when decommissioned double-deckers were repurposed for NASCAR-style circuit racing — it'll have you on the edge of your moquette seat, not so much because of the speed they're going, but the fact these buses look more unstable than a Tory majority. If that makes you chuckle, you'll be in tears at these wonderfully dated travelcard adverts from the 1980s and 90s. You may also like this ad targeting high flyers at City Airport, which has aged about as well as a bottle of Lambrini Cherry. Though even that's not quite as wince-worthy as the time a group of hard-headed girls laid into the architect of their new school while BBC cameras rolled: "Don't you think you've designed the blackboards in a rather awkward position?" And just when you think you've found the cream of the cringe, along comes Paul McCartney and his mullet in this 1986 music video for 'Press'. Help! |
