Adam here, your friendly neighbourhood newsletter-er. Wanted to give you an update on Versioning, the daily newsletter that covers the web and now provides an in-depth guide to a new, relevant topic every month.

Versioning gives devs and designers the best of the web, every day. Front-end, back-end, design, news - everything important they need. Subscribers often tell me the publication shows them stuff they didn’t know they needed to know, or has a sixth-sense to deliver the links they need when they’re jumping into a new technology or technique.

But now it's even better, more focused on giving a guide to the topics you struggle to get started with.

Every month Versioning covers a subject in-depth. In June, that subject was Modern JavaScript. In July, it will be Design Systems and Living Styleguides.

June was focused on Modern JavaScript covered JavaScript frameworks, like React and Angular, GraphQL, React Native and Vue Native, Electron, functional JavaScript and plenty more. There were interviews with PayPal full-stack JavaScript dev, teacher and Google Developer Expert Kent C. Dodds, CodePen and CSS Tricks founder Chris Coyier and pre-eminent JavaScript teacher Wes Bos, the constantly updated collection of links and three free SitePoint books. All of this is still available for new subscribers!

July will be focused on design systems and living styleguides. Both form part of a new movement towards designers and developers establishing rules designed to make collaboration easier, improve design quality, and generally increase sanity levels. Think: building with Lego blocks vs. clay.

I’ll be learning this stuff too. I’m no expert in any one area, and there are a few areas, so this is a way for us both to improve our knowledge and skills in the most important web subjects - this is the beginning of a beautiful partnership!
