| The California state Senate is considering a bill that would protect workers in grocery and pharmacy stores that offer self-checkout. The measure would require grocery and pharmacy retailers to meet certain requirements if they wanted to offer self-checkout, including having no more than two self-checkout stations monitored by any one employee and requiring the employee to be relieved of all other duties. Do you think other states will adopt a similar measure? -- Let us know your thoughts in the comments here, or email the SN staff at contactus@supermarketnews.com. And have a great rest of your week.
