Electric vehicle (EV) batteries are approaching a tipping point in 2021.|
Dear Reader, Electric vehicle (EV) batteries are approaching a tipping point in 2021. According to a new price survey by Bloomberg, EV makers are just about at the point where their batteries will be more affordable — and more profitable — than combustion engines. ‘We’re not talking about a crossover point being a decade away anymore’, says Logan Goldie-Scot, head of clean power research at BNEF. For this to happen though, battery makers will need a LOT of lithium. That’s why many lithium stocks have flown in 2020. But two more ingredients are crucial, too. Nickel and copper. So, in terms of stocks, you should be looking for rare ‘duel plays’ here. The blokes at Exponential Stock Investor have found one in Western Australia. According to Lachlann Tierney, its ‘discovery hole’ is showing results remarkably similar to the Nova-Bollinger deposit found by Sirius Resources in 2012. Sirius went from five cents to $5 in a number of months on that discovery. To learn more, read this. Regards, James Woodburn, Group Publisher |
