I don't like cancer. I suspect you don't, either. We have all lost friends and family to this terrible and persistent disease... and as research has led to far better treatments over the years, many of us have celebrated remissions and effective treatments when our friends or loved ones have been lucky enough to succeed in their fight. For many years I've been supporting the research and patient care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute here in Massachusetts, which I know does wonderful work, especially for children and families... and I'm doing so again this year.... For the third year in a row I'll be honoring the memory of my Father, who died of colon cancer in 1994, and riding my bike in the 192-mile Pan Mass Challenge from old Sturbridge Village out to the tip of Cape Cod. The ride begins two weeks from today, and I would dearly love your support. Stock Gumshoe readers have been a hugely generous source of support for all of my fundraising activities, so I feel extraordinarily blessed to work for such a kind and giving group of folks... and I hope you'll be able to help again this year. It's a wonderful cause, and an inspirational event, and I couldn't do it without you. Please click here to visit my fundraising page and give what you're able... thank you! Travis |
