Dear Friend, As you know, I am a born optimist. I observe countless economic problems as I travel the world, but I also see amazing people working to solve them. I foresee a bright future for my children and grandchildrenâand yours, too. However⦠I also agree with sci-fi author William Gibson when he said, âThe future is already hereâ itâs just not evenly distributed.â Some of our institutions are stuck in the past while the world moves on. Thatâs a problemâfor everyone. I want to help you get through the coming economic storms. Thatâs why I write Thoughts from the Frontline for you each week. But my best platform to help people like you is the Strategic Investment Conference. Each year at the SIC, I bring dozens of top financial, economic, and geopolitical experts together to help you map out your investment strategy. I ask them to share their best ideas, both on stage and informally with attendees. I purposely keep the event small to promote personal interaction. Hereâs where I need your help. My team and I are currently planning next yearâs SIC program. Weâve nailed down the dates and location: March 6â9, 2018 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in downtown San Diego, California. Now I need to set the agenda⦠So hereâs the question: What is your #1 financial challenge as you look ahead to the next 5-10-20 years? We all have our own unique circumstances.
