Hi John, Today I want to share two stories. Both are about bravery, one is about love and the other is about overcoming trauma. First, I got this response to one of my previous Good News First emails. Keith and Janice celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 12th. And it all started with a small act of bravery. “Tall, beautiful girl walked by me in the college student union and just happened to sit down at a table with someone I knew. I got up, went to the table and asked her to marry me, she, playing along, said yes. About 10 months later we got married and, now 50 years later, here we are.” Congratulations to Keith and Janice! I hope your story inspires someone to be brave enough to shoot their shot! And now, I want to share a story about how art can help you overcome trauma and find courage within yourself. Claudette has lupus and has found so much comfort and courage from Sophia Metamorphosis, one of my many Sophia drawings. Stories like this make me so happy and proud of what I do. |
