Adieu, Tre'QuanIn a surprising move, the Saints released veteran receiver Tre'Quan Smith off injured reserve, making him a free agent. Smith had been with the club since the Saints selected him in the third round of the 2018 draft. Over parts of five seasons with the Saints, Smith caught 131 passes and scored 18 touchdowns, including one of the most famous catches in franchise history. Hello, again, helloWith starter Derek Carr nursing a shoulder injury, the Saints added another quarterback to the roster. And it's a familiar face, someone familiar with the Saints offense. All's fair in love and war and the NFC SouthThe rival Atlanta Falcons signed offensive tackle Storm Norton off the Saints practice squad Tuesday, adding Norton to the ranks of former Saints that include general manager Terry Fontenot, defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen, linebacker Kaden Elliss and defensive tackle David Onyemata.
