| Still in a holiday state of mind? | I love dreaming about holiday destinations – even if the kind of overseas adventure I could plan pre-pandemic (and, to be honest, pre-parenthood) seems like a distant memory right now. But putting practicalities aside, this story about visiting Hanoi makes me think I should try to get there some day. The Vietnamese capital has a lot to offer – from citadels built more than 1,000 years ago to what’s said to be the world’s best street food. And Nguyen Quy Duc, a restaurateur and fixture of Hanoi's art scene, says the disruption of 2020 hasn’t dampened the city’s spirit. “Hanoi remains, even with the pandemic, a dynamic city,” he says. “It is alive.
