| No, the cover of the new Golf Digest December/January Issue isn’t a fake. Given how convincingly images can be manipulated these days, plus the protracted ill will between and even within golf’s rival leagues, we wouldn’t blame anyone for at first thinking this might be a fugazy. On my honor, I attest that we gathered Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler together in the same room for photographer Michelle Watt and a congenial, if not enjoyable time was had by all.
Golf Digest Senior Writer Alex Myers spent the day on scene with the four titans of the modern game, who discussed the backstory of their upcoming made-for-TV match during set-breaks from an unrelated film project (sorry, we can’t disclose the title at this time). While much remains to be worked out to save pro golf, what’s certain is the cooperation of these four stars will be key. And the relationships among them are very real.
