The A1(M) in Hertfordshire is closed northbound between J7 (Stevenage, A602) and J8 (Hitchin, A602) due to a traffic collision. Hertfordshire Police are on scene, along with our Traffic Officers.

Traffic is being diverted via the Solid Triangle diversion symbol

- Exit the A1(M) northbound at J7

- At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A602

- Travel for 0.2 miles, to the junction with the A1072 (Gunnels Wood Road)

- At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A1072

- Continue on the A1072 for just over 2 miles, to the junction with the A602 and Martins Way

- At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A602

- Continue for 0.7 miles, to the junction with A1(M) J8

- At the roundabout, take the third exit to rejoin the A1(M) northbound
