Highways England HIGHWAYSENGLAND UPDATES
Breaking News

Here is the latest information on the Breaking News

The A21 in East Sussex is closed in both directions between the A28 (near Baldslow) and the A2100 (near Johns Cross) due to a number of trees which have fallen into a dangerous position over the carriageway near Sedlescombe.

Highways England contractors are in attendance and will be working throughout the night to clear the trees and ensure the road is safe.

Northbound traffic should follow the hollow black square diversion symbol. Leave the A21 at the junction with the A28 (Baldslow) and join the A28 northbound (Westfield Lane). Continue on this road until the junction with the B2089 at Broad Oak. Turn left and take the B2089 (Chitcombe Road) westbound, and continue on this road, passing through Cripps Corner, to rejoin the A21 at Vinehall Street.

Southbound traffic should follow the hollow black circle diversion symbol, following the above route in reverse.

Please allow extra time for your journey if you're travelling in the area tonight.
