Diversion:

Eastbound - Exit at Roundhouse Roundabout and follow the hollow circle symbol. Take the 3rd exit onto A350 (Poole Road). At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A35 . Continue on the A35 and merge with the A350. At the Horse Bay North roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A350. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A349 Continue on the A349 to re-join the A31 at Merley Roundabout.

Westbound - Exit at Merley Roundabout and follow the hollow square symbol. Take the 1st exit onto the A349. Continue to the traffic lights intersection of Cabot Lane and Hatch Pond Lane. Turn right onto Cabot Lane. At the T-junction turn right onto the A350. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A35. At the roundabout with the A350 take the 3rd exit onto the A350 to re-join the A31.
